Who We Are

About HVSIL

A Community Built on Trust and Shared Purpose

The Health Visionaries for Saving and Internal Lending (HVSIL) was founded on March 10, 2019, by sixteen dedicated health professionals who recognized the power of collective action. Headquartered in Lindi MC, Lindi Region, HVSIL is a voluntary, non-political, non-religious, and non-tribal organization.

Our group was established with a clear mission: to empower health professionals through structured savings, internal lending, and joint investment projects. Beyond finances, HVSIL fosters a spirit of brotherhood — members support each other through illness, bereavement, and life's many challenges.

Every two years, members share in the profits generated from their collective savings and loan interest, ensuring that the group's growth translates directly into individual prosperity. HVSIL is more than a savings group — it is a family of professionals committed to each other's advancement.

We stand together in times of joy and hardship, building lasting bonds among health professionals.

Growth

We invest collectively in projects and savings that multiply the economic wellbeing of every member.

Compassion

We extend support beyond finance — caring for members and their families during illness and bereavement.

What We Offer

Our Services & Activities

HVSIL provides a comprehensive range of financial and social services designed to uplift every member — from structured savings and accessible loans to investment opportunities and compassionate community support.

Financial

Monthly Savings

Members currently contribute TZS 150,000 per month (revised from the founding rate of TZS 100,000 in 2019), with a maximum of TZS 1,000,000. An initial capital contribution of TZS 200,000 establishes each member's foundational stake in the group.

Financial

Internal Lending

Members access loans of up to TZS 15,000,000 with a 10% interest rate and repayment terms of up to 24 months, supporting members through planned needs and emergencies alike.

Investment

Investment Projects

The group collectively invests in income-generating projects, including regular deposits into UTT (Unit Trust of Tanzania) funds. Profits are shared among all members proportional to their shareholding, with investment decisions made democratically.

Social

Bereavement Support

Upon the loss of a parent, spouse, or child, a member receives TZS 1,000,000 from the group fund. For any bereavement occurring at a member's home, TZS 500,000 is provided immediately.

Financial

Profit Sharing

Every two years, members receive a dividend based on their total share contributions. This cycle ensures steady, compounding returns and rewards long-term commitment to the group.

Governance

Quarterly Meetings

Members gather every quarter to review finances, discuss investments, and strengthen community bonds. Leadership meetings are held twice yearly to prepare comprehensive reports for the general assembly.
